Give Today
Your gift gives a young person somewhere to land.
Every dollar you give goes directly toward stable housing, wraparound support, and a community that believes in the young people we serve.
Why your gift matters
When a young person ages out of foster care, they leave with nothing — no family safety net, no stable address, no roadmap. Freedom House changes that. Your generosity funds the housing, mentorship, and life-skills support that turns survival into a future.
helps cover a week of utilities for one resident
contributes to a month of mentorship programming
helps furnish a bedroom for an incoming resident
sponsors one month of full housing for a resident
Why Investing Early Matters
The cost of doing nothing is far greater.
A 2023 Colorado study estimated that each annual group of foster youth aging out of care generates between $66 million and $73 million in lifetime societal costs — associated with homelessness, incarceration, reduced educational attainment, and economic instability.
The long-term societal cost for each young person who ages out without adequate support ranges from approximately $309,000 to $343,000.
Investing in housing, mentorship, education, and supportive relationships is not only compassionate — it is a practical and effective way to strengthen individuals, families, and communities throughout Colorado.
